Center Hill Lake

Center Hill Lake is a 64 mile long reservoir consisting of 415 miles of shoreline, and 18,200 acres of deep, pure water for many species of fish. Shorelines are undeveloped and natural. Around the lake are numerous marinas for boat rentals, as well as recreation areas - man-made beaches featuring swimming and other amenities.

Marinas
The following marinas are within twenty minutes of Evins Mill, and most offer pontoon and houseboat rentals.

Sligo Marina
(615.597.5245) From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow U.S. 70 east 5.9 miles and turn right on Sligo Road. The road is directly before Sligo Bridge. The dock is at the end of the road.
Center Hill Marina
(615.548.4315) From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow U.S. 70 west 5.6 miles to State Route 96 North (Dale Ridge Road) and turn right. Follow State Route 96 north 7.7 miles.
The marina is on the right.

Hidden Harbor Marina

(615.597.8800) From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow State Route 56 north 1.7 miles and turn left on State Route 83 (Allen Ferry Road). Travel west 1mile and turn right (marked with sign to marina) on Holmes Creek Road. The Marina is 2.1 miles on the right.

Pates Ford Marina
(615.597.4807) From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow State Route 56 south 5 miles to the intersection of State Route 288 (Keltonburg Road) and turn left. Follow State Route 288 (Keltonburg Road) 2.7 miles to Jefferson Road (marked with sign to marina) and turn left. (Jefferson Road will be the first road on the left past Keltonburg Community Center). Follow Jefferson Road 6.0 miles to its end.

Hurricane Marina
(931.858.2221) From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow State Route 56 north 9.5 miles and turn left to Floating Mill Recreation Area / Hurricane Boat Dock. (The road will be the first on the left after passing the scenic overlook). Follow signs to the marina.

Recreation Areas
The following Recreation Areas are within fifteen minutes of Evins Mill. Most feature drinking water, launching ramps, picnic areas, and rest rooms. Many provide picnic shelters, playgrounds, and swimming.

Cove Hollow
From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow U.S. 70 west 5.6 miles to State Route 96 North (Dale Ridge Road) and turn right. Follow State Route 96 north 8.4 miles and Cove Hollow Recreation Area is on the right.

Floating Mill

eft to Floating Mill - Hurricane Marina. (The road will be the first on the left after passing the scenic overlook.) Follow signs to the park.

Holmes Creek
(615.597.7191) From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow U.S. 70 west 3.5 miles and turn right at Bert Driver Nursery onto Hurricane Ridge Road. Hurricane Ridge Road will become Casey Cove Road (follow the main path of the roadway - no turns). Holmes Creek Recreation Area is located at the end of the road and is 5.3 miles from U.S. 70.

Hurricane Bridge
From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow State Route 56 north 8 miles. Hurricane Bridge Recreation
Area is on the left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge.

Johnson’s Chapel
From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow U.S. 70 east 8.6 miles. Turn left on Johnson Chapel Road
(marked with Corps of Engineers sign). The recreation area is 2.5 miles at the end of the road.

Ragland Bottom
(931.761.3616) From the intersection of U.S. 70 and State Route 56, follow U.S. 70 east 7.1 miles to Ragland Bottom Road. (After crossing Sligo Bridge, the recreation area is 1.1 miles and will be the first road on the left at the top of the hill).
