Part of our Creek Side accommodations, the six Mountain Laurel rooms are accessible only by foot via a broad boardwalk from the Main Lodge, where guests arrive and park. Mountain Laurel rooms are similar to the six Evergreen rooms below them in a variety of respects...
size/decor/layout
king bed
private bathroom
beverage/coffee station
television monitor (Roku only)
high-speed wireless internet
exterior entrance
covered deck with creek side views
But they differ from Evergreens in other ways...
vaulted cathedral ceilings
, creating a more open ambiance
hardwood versus sheet rock ceilings, offering a warmer texture
higher elevation views
more closet & shelf space
sleeping lofts for children or groups needing additional bedding.
Though in-room monitors feature streaming services only, television programming is available in the Stone Room at the Main Lodge and in Cortland Hall at the Gristmill.
While guests are invited to arrive as early as noon, the published check-in time is 4:00. Exclusively for guests staying Creek Side, Evins Mill offers limited bellhop service - from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on day of arrival and from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on day of departure.
For those with mobility issues, it should be noted that all Mountain Laurel rooms feature more than a few steps to access, some more than others...

Mountain Laurels in the Lawrence guest house feature a 15-foot elevation change & 26 steps to navigate over a 150-foot expanse.
Mountain Laurels in the Webb guest house require the most steps, featuring a 25-foot elevation change & 42 steps to navigate over a 250-foot expanse.
